Cancellations & No-Shows:

I request 48 hours notice for cancelled appointments. The cancellation fee for less than 48 hours notice is the full cost of the session. Same policy applies if you do not show up to your appointment.

Reimbursement:

While I do not take insurance,  I am happy to provide a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Since coverage varies widely from policy to policy, there is no guarantee that my services will be reimbursed in full or in partial by your insurance company. Please, call your insurance company to find out.

Also, you may be able to charge your Medical Savings Accounts or Pre-Tax Flexible Spending Medical Accounts. Ask your Accountant or Compensation and Benefits Administrator if you qualify for either program.

Video Sessions:

I'm subscribed to the HIPAA-complaint Zoom Pro video platform. Most insurance companies will reimburse HIPAA-complaint video calls, but not phone calls or skype calls.

Payment:

Payment is by credit card using Square. Payment in full is expected at the end of each session. No-shows will also be charged.

Confidentiality:

The ideas, thoughts and emotions you share will be held in confidence. However, there are times when confidentiality is overwritten by concerns about safety issues to you or to others, or by the legal system. When you schedule your first appointment, you'll be asked to complete several forms, scan and return by email, before your first session. The packet includes a HIPAA form which explains the limits of confidentiality. Please read it carefully.

Evaluation:

The first 1-3 sessions will focus on evaluating your strengths, mental health needs, and goals as well as developing an effective treatment plan to meet your needs.

Before your initial visit:

Please, complete and sign the paperwork emailed to you in advance, scan and return by email before your first appointment. It is important that you sign a consent to release previous medical records, which allows for me to speak with your primary care doctor and with present and prior providers, to facilitate collaborative care.
